What is Perkins Grant?

The Perkins Grant supports students enrolled in Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses at Lee College, allowing them to gain employment in high-skills, high-wage, in-demand careers. This funding helps the college improve its (CTE) programs, making sure they match what employers are looking for. The grant also supports students within a special population category by addressing barriers and encouraging program completion.

You may be eligible for extra support if you fall under any of the categories below. Each group has a dedicated contact to help you access available resources:

Economically Disadvantaged (including low-income youth and adults)
Single parents (including single, pregnant women)
Non-Traditional Fields Career Seekers
Individuals with Disabilities
Homeless Students
English Language Learners / Limited English Proficiency
Youth with a Parent in Active-Duty Military or Armed Forces

  • Childcare assistance

  • Nursing entrance and NCLEX exam fees
  • CompTIA and EPA exam fees
  • Costs related to industry field trips
