The Network Maintenance Technology Program is designed for students who desire a career in the information and communication technology fields with a focus on local and wide area networking.
Students will learn to: install, configure, maintain and upgrade stand-alone computers or computers within networks; troubleshoot basic hardware and software problems on computers and within computer networks; understand the fundamentals of computer operating systems; describe and understand the basic technologies used in local and wide area networks, including logical and physical technologies as well as hardware and software associated with computer networks; and demonstrate sufficient knowledge in computer and computer networking technology to secure career placement in the field.
