The Criminal Justice Field of Study program is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement, corrections, or the court system.
The curriculum has been adapted to meet the needs of students transferring into a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science program majoring in criminal justice.
The Field of Study courses will constitute a semester credit hour transfer block to any public Texas four-year college or university.
Students should work with their advisor to tailor course selections to align with their chosen transfer university. The transfer plans on this page shows a tailored example for a university commonly chosen by Lee College students. However, students may choose to continue their education at any university.
The criminal justice program introduces students to the methodologies and techniques in the criminal justice profession including law enforcement, the courts, corrections and criminal law. In addition to classroom instruction, students are provided with case studies and active learning law enforcement activities to enhance their professional opportunities with local, county and state agencies. An associate of arts degree with a criminal justice concentration prepares students to successfully transfer into a four-year college/university and pursue a bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree in criminal justice.
