Lee College has set yet another new enrollment record for fall 2026, with 9,616 students enrolled across the college’s campuses and programs.
The new record surpasses the previous high of 8,943 students, set in fall 2024, by 673 students. This fall’s enrollment also represents a 7.7% increase over fall 2025, when Lee College enrolled 8,930 students.
The record enrollment reflects continued growth across the college as more students choose Lee College to pursue degrees, workforce credentials, transfer opportunities and their academic and career goals.
“At a time when the value of higher education is being closely examined nationally, the continued growth at Lee College reflects the confidence students and families place in us,” said Dr. Scott Bennet, vice president of PIER & Enrollment Management. “They know they will receive a high-quality education leading to real employment opportunities, without the burden of crippling debt.”
Bennett added, “This record is more than a number; it represents the trust our students and families place in Lee College, and we take that responsibility very seriously.”
Lee College has continued to expand educational opportunities for students throughout its service area. In Huntsville, the college recently expanded its Prison Education Program to include an Associate of Arts degree, providing students with a direct pathway to transfer to a four-year institution and pursue a bachelor’s degree.
The college also continues to see growth in Dual Enrollment, which increased by 7% compared with fall 2025. Through Dual Enrollment, high school students can earn college credit while completing their high school education, giving them an early start on their college journey.
“This growth reflects the work of faculty and staff and the strong partnerships we share with the school districts throughout our region and the opportunities those partnerships create for students,” said Jacob Atkin, president of Lee College. “These partnerships are helping more students see college as part of their future and giving them a pathway to get there. This enrollment milestone represents more than a number. It represents thousands of students taking meaningful steps toward their educational and career goals and a stronger future for the communities we serve.”
Lee College’s fall 2026 enrollment includes students pursuing a wide range of academic and workforce pathways, from university-transfer degrees to technical and career-focused programs. The college continues to strengthen and expand programs designed to meet the needs of students, employers and the communities it serves.
