Dr. Marissa Moreno

Dr. Marissa Moreno is the Associate Vice President of Transfer & Educational Partnerships at Lee College in Baytown, Texas.

Dr. Moreno serves as the chief strategist in amplifying students' experiences through navigational processes of attending college and collaborative work with faculty to ensure students are successful.

In her role, she leads the Advising & Transfer Programs, Shared College Coordinators and the School & College Partnership department that includes Recruitment/Outreach and Dual Credit Programs, ensuring a seamless pipeline approach is intact for students starting as early as middle school.

More recently, she serves as a Vice-Chair for the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) — Research Commission, where she works and presents with top researchers in the areas of dual credit and concurrent enrollment, researching policy across the nation.

In addition, Dr. Moreno supports dual enrollment research through her active participation with the NACEP community. She completed her Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Houston-Main Campus, publishing two articles about dual credit and Early College High Schools in the Community College Journal of Research and Practice and an article on advising for dual credit students in the New Directions for Community College journal.
